FAVOR Xchange was created from a simple belief: no one should feel like they have to face everything alone, and no useful skill, service, resource, or opportunity should go to waste. We started Favor Xchange because there are people who need help but cannot always afford the services they need, people with skills and services who are willing to help but don't always know who needs them, and people who want to make a difference but may not have the time or ability to provide a service themselves. We believe the world needs more ways to connect these people.

Favor Xchange brings those possibilities together in one place. Whether you're asking for help, offering your time or skills, or sponsoring a service for someone who needs it, you have a place in the exchange. Our goal is to make helping more accessible, rewarding, transparent, and sustainable so that giving and receiving help can become part of a cycle that keeps moving forward.

Because sometimes you need a hand. Sometimes you can lend one. And sometimes, you can help make that hand possible.

The idea for Favor Xchange grew from something I had been doing naturally for years without realizing it was becoming something bigger.

Friends would often come to me for help with resumes, online applications, forms, research, and other things they weren't comfortable doing themselves. I never thought much about charging them. I was happy to help because it was something I knew how to do, and helping was simply one of the ways I gave back.

But I also noticed that the exchange often went both ways. I had friends with their own skills and businesses who would help me in return. I remember friends in the beauty industry saying things like, “Lynn, you did my logo. Don't pay me for your haircut.” Or someone might say, “Lynn, you helped me with my resume. I got you on the pedicure.”

They had something I needed, and I had something they needed. We both had something of value to offer, and sometimes money didn't need to be part of the exchange at all.

Those experiences made me realize something: people have so much to offer each other, but there isn't always a simple way to connect those things.

Some people have skills. Some have time. Some have resources. Some have money but not the time or skills to do something themselves. Some own businesses and can offer professional services. And sometimes, people simply need someone willing to lend a hand.

That's where Favor Xchange began.

I wanted to create a place where people could ask for a favor, offer what they have, exchange services, or contribute toward helping someone else while making the process more organized, transparent, and rewarding.

Favor Xchange is built on something I have experienced in my own life: sometimes the best way to give back isn't money. Sometimes it's simply giving what you have to someone who needs it.
